THE GIRL WHO LOOKED AT THE OTHER SIDE (Madrid, 2019)
This artwork arises from the link between Havana, the Nuclear City and Madrid with the sea. It’s an invitation to think of the «impossible» as a place for action and change. It begins with 39 footnotes written between the Nuclear City and Havana in 2018 and included in the book «La Bahía» (Ediciones Sinsentido). The exercise consisted of writing the 39 poems that accompanied those footnotes during the same days in which they had been conceived, but a year later in Europe. All this, together with photographs, archive images, historical documents, as well as a visual exploration that addresses the relationship between Madrid and the sea… make up a piece crossed by another temporality, another country, another love, other «bays», other «nuclear actions» like building an amusement park on the ruins of a nuclear power plant… +info HERE.
